It was great to visit pupils and staff at Alexander Peden Primary just before the school holidays to celebrate their recent achievement of a Green Flag.  The Eco-Schools programme engages children and young people in key issues including the environment, sustainability, global citizenship and the value of a low carbon future. 

I am pleased that most schools throughout my constituency take part in this innitiative and that our children and young people learn the importance of environmental sustainability form an early age.
